Another drum cover I did for fun. Please note that the song doesn't belong to me and is, Blue Side Of The Mountain by The Steeldrivers. Hope you enjoy! Comments and questions are appreciated as always.

  • This sounds awesome, I love the drums with it.

  • @codyn1 many thanks. i am glad you liked it. i don't know whether is is a custom not to include drums in bluegrass in the band lineup but it surely is a lot fun to accompany and in a way complement the songs.

  • jajaajjajaajajajaaj Qué bueno!!!!!

  • @williammoran84 yep. i agree so. and as per codyn1's comment i take it as The Steeldrivers is in fact a traditional bluegrass band. i mean that i didn't know previously. thanks for dropping a line here and i am glad you liked it. cheers.

  • @tolgapala It's an American thing. Really it's an Appalachian thing. Nice though

  • @tolgapala Yeah, well I guess there are traditional bluegrass bands that stick to guitars, upright bass, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, etc. and exclude drums or electric guitars and whatnot, and then there are bluegrass bands that break the "tradtitional" rules and add in drums and whatnot. But the main thing is, you did a great job on this. Really good, solid drumming, and it definitely gives the song somewhat of a different feel, but in a good way.

  • @r1865 I am so glad you liked it. i felt the music definitely has the feel and foundation for a drum part so I just gave it a shot for fun. to be perfectly honest i do think it already feels good as it is without the drums, but this was a lot of fun to try. many thanks.

  • Wow, never thought I would enjoy hearing drums put to bluegrass but, wow! Nicely done!

  • @TheOrdinand hey there mate! thanks a lot. I am really glad to see your nice comment here. I do like The Steeldrivers and really do wonder why they have chosen not to use drums in their lineup originally. nevertheless it is so much fun, and honestly much better compared to a song with a drum track to play along. :) as you can feel free to do whatever you want without having to think about the backing drums while playing. many thanks for dropping a line. cheers.
