Harness the power of the same triple-A tools used to build ground-breaking games like Gears of War and iPhone Game of the Year Infinity Blade.

  • @StrayX09 This is just a guess, but I believe it's because most AppStore games are simplistic and don't require heavy software such as UDK. SOME games use Unreal, however (such as Epic's own Infinity Blade), but like you said not many make use of it. Shame, really.

  • @RememberTrueStyle UDK is UDK, therefore it's free. If you want it on the app store, it requires a liscence (unless you go free I suppose).

  • Now lets see this for 3DS.

  • How come I haven't seen many games using this engine on the AppStore?

  • @megazero713 it checked and it still seems to be 50,000 $

  • @MouthofSaurons You have to earn $500,000 now before royalty kicks in. :D

  • @RememberTrueStyle It is free. Unless you plan to make games you sell, you need a 99$ license, and if you earn more than 50.000$ from your game, you need to pay a 25% royalty.

  • Is UDK for iOS licensed or freeware?

  • @hydzior Jazz' :]

  • You guys are talking about new Jazz Jackrabbit, but nobody wants to play back Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Guys, This Game is Alive!
