Any religion that teaches hatred and uses the law to harass, humiliate and ruin someone is just another form of a cult. I just don't understand why someone would allow Scientology to be a religion even though the creator of Scientology said he wants to start a religion for making money..... This country is being run by lesser men who neither lack the basic humanity to govern us nor the moral values to judge us.

We know Hubbard was a scummy conman, but what this nice lady said doesn't seem to add up. She said Hubbard told her dad he *planned* to set up an organisation, and then call it a church, etc., - but she said quite assuredly that this was in about 1958. The Church of Scientology had already been incorporated several years before the date she gave.
