From Airforcetimes website: crash investigation of USAF Osprey in Qalat Afghan. April 2010 revealed engine failure. Military wanted chief investigator to change his report to "pilot error". "The stresses of flying in the dirt and dust of Afghanistan probably caused the engine problems" BGen. Harvel, chief investigator said. He was not allowed to brief the families of the 4 KIA onboard. Maybe Airforce wants to coverup the reliability problems of this overpriced $67M helo?
