My life was decent home alone making sure no one thought the house was abandoned and trust me I wanted to leave it but my father would never allow it. My dad is always gone on one voyage after another I might see him a day in between at the most. My dad is the best captain in the world or at lease on this land he settled down with my mother and then had me but it didn't last my mother died and he doesn't like looking at me since I look so much like her he tries whenever he's home but it's not enough so I'm going to do something about my life and so I decided to go on a voyage on my own I heard there was a ship sailing out for a new land and I wanted to be a part of it and since my dad was funding it I was going to be on it as a supervisor but of chores I'm a girl and I will be able to do like nothing but sit and watch all the ship mates work. I packed a small bag with four dresses that I worked in and pj's I walked out of my house and locked it and left a note for my father just in case he would come back and then a sign that said closed for traveling. I ran down to the docks and saw the boat I would be going on it was huge I walked on board and saw the captain.
"Hello I'm Captain Smith you must be Mr. Triton's daughter." He said.
"Yes but you can call me Ariel." I said and smiled while running my fingers through my red hair.
"I'll show you to your room." He said and brought me into the rooming part of the boat I was to stay in a beautiful room as my father ordered. I walked into the room and saw there was a balcony and saw I was only a few feet off the ground.
"Thank you captain Smith." I said and he left me alone. I put my bag in the closet and walked out onto the balcony and watched as the other crew members walked on board. I noticed three guys horsing around as they walked on deck and then the youngest broke away from them and looked around at the ship I couldn't stop looking at him he was so handsome then he started looking up towards my room and I ducked into the room and closed the doors to the balcony so no one could see me.
(Jim's point of view.)
I watched as my brother Dimitri wrestle with Milo his best friend and I swore I saw someone standing on the small balcony but I nudged it off and looked around the ship.
"Whoa!" I said and saw my brother and Milo stop and look at me.
"That's right little bro this is your first voyage." Said Dimitri. I grinned and I saw a tall blond sailor walking over to us.
"Welcome to the voyage boys I'm Captain John smith but just call me Smith or John." Said Mr. Smith and he showed us were we would be living which was below deck and we each had a decent size room. I put my bags down and heard.
"Time to cast off!" so I shut my door and went up deck that's when I saw her face looking out into the ocean it was so beautiful I started walking over to the empty space next to her.
(Ariel's point on view.)
I watched the people on the port looking up at us as we casted off some were smiling some crying because they were left behind and away from their husbands and son's and then there were the men who wished they could be on deck with us.
"Hello." I heard and turned to my right and saw the boy that I was looking at before.
"Hi." I said and smiled.
"I'm Jim." He said and smiled a perfect smile.
"I'm Ariel." I said and smiled.
"So you're the famous Mr. Triton's daughter that the crew has been a talking about, what are you doing on a ship with all of us." He asked.
"I wanted some adventure in my life I'm usually stuck at home doing nothing waiting for my father to come home but he never does I want to make something with my life and I thought that my dad's personal voyage would be a perfect cover up." I said and smiled at him and then we casted off.
"JIM COME ON!" I heard and saw the guys he came on the boat with.
"Sorry I have to go when older brothers call." He said and started walking away. That's when I noticed the ships main cabin opened up and I saw her.
