The USA's number one economic investor is China. Due to this, it would be economic suicide if the USA were to end its ties with China. As a result, the USA will for now remain a passive supporter of Human Rights Violations in China.
Maybe it's time for the USA to be a man and bite the bullet for the greater good.

For every country that continues to do business with them, that's more power they have to oppress their citizens. The USA is one of their biggest supporters, through economic support.
