    It was a coup of the ruling party against the true election results.

  • tallies by province as they had done in previous elections, the voting patterns claimed by the government were identical in all provinces which is impossible, the Surpreme Leader confirmed the election results earlier than require by law and didn't follow due process, then all mobile phones, Facebook, and other social networks were blocked, as well as major foreign news sources.

As the polls closed, text messaging was shut off nation wide, troops entered the streets in large numbers, national TV began playing prerecorded messages asking everyone to unite behind the winner, the Ministry of the Interior was barricaded and surround by armed guards, Mousavi was at first told he won the election, then the Ministry of Interior announced a landslide victory for Ahmadinejad, unlike prior elections they didn't reveal the voting...
