A visual tutorial on how to add Armatures in Blender. Weight-painting coming soon!

A read-along version:

Step 1. Make a mesh with at least 1 cut in it (the cuts are where joints can be)

Step 2. Go to Object Mode, and press Space, Add, Armature

Step 3. Once you have positioned the armature, go into edit mode and choose
the smaller point of the armature, drag it to where you want it, and extrude to add another armature connected to that one.

Step 4. Select all armatures, then select all vertices of the mesh. Add a Vertex Group, and name it appropriately.

Step 5. Add the modifier "Armature", and make the object "Armature" (or whatever you named the armatures), and make the group name match the one you gave the Vertex Group.

Step 6. Under "Vertex Group" click "Assign"

Step 7. Select your armatures. Go to your Object/Edit mode menu, and select "Pose mode". You can now pose your armatures.
