  • @ferrisio @eerereps You guys both have good points, Neve, along with several other big names pretty much wrote the book on analog recording gear but that doesn't matter as more and more big boy studios go for digital in the box recording and mixing. Analog and digital and both very much viable methods to make great music. The biggest difference is the price tags. Anyway, we shouldn't go and blindfold eachother and try to spot gear, but I do agree analog has a certain magic to it.

  • ah yes....more richboys and their toys. They wouldn't know what to do in the real world.

  • @ferrisio my point is, are you saying it sounds good because it's a Neve? or it actually "sounds good" sonically? (not Psycho-acoustics... as in when you are blind folded, and the same track is played, say one from a Neve, and another from an SSL, or pro-tools or something; and u r asked which one sounds good.) - u get my point now?

  • @eerereps but this one sounds good AND has the name, whats your point?

  • I thought a song makes a hit because it sounds good. not because it was recorded with a Neve, Next time, get a console which sounds good. not because of the name. No offence Neve.
