Dude you are fighting just to be fighting now! Its been said, the pod race is only ONE part of the experience geesh. I wish people would calm down and take a chill pill about this stuff. If you lack faith in the company this much now, simple dont go anymore and take your money somewhere else. Send Disney a message if it bothers you THAT much!

if you look at other videos you can see that the Star Tours shuttle is the one that joins the pod race. The engines get caught in the fron of the shuttle. thsi explains how at the end the shuttle clears the crowds to get airborn again.

Not fighting. Only stating my opinion and reasons I have that opinion. Maybe you are the one who needs to "calm down." I'm just hearing that the ride focuses strongly on the prequels. And, lets face it, the prequels suck.

Wait a sec! This IS Star Tours, right? Last I checked, the whole gimmick for Star Tours was that it's like a travel agency that takes you to other destinations and planets from the Star Wars universe. Not some Pod Racing bit. Hell! They even have future destinations advertised for Hoth, Endor, Courascant (sp?), and Tattoine.

The Fantasyland expansion was not in mind when the play area was built.

that play area is place holder until the new fantasyland comes along and is replaced by the new mermaid attraction.

maybe pod racing is the only scene that they've gotten to a semi-finished state that they could show at the expo

Why should I have faith in a company that replaced 20,000 leagues with a play area, Alien Encounter with Stitch's Great Mistake, Horizons with Mission: Waste? All I'm saying is, if there is soooo much more to it, they should have picked a better preview than pod racing.

About time they update the ride. Great to see that they will incorporate the newer movies! The old version of the ride was nothing more than old. The only place that the ride still feels atleast ok is in Tokyo Disneyland. The worst is Paris.
