This aircraft crashed, was restored to static condition, then moved to Hendon, England where it remains today. Magnificent Airplane.

@southaustinbrass101 Like it or not it was war and the germans had some nice planes to fight with. to bad they killed people in camps. The ss monsters were behind that. These guys were doing there duty so why disrespect the poilots numb nuts

Hand-crank inertial starter (which can also be turned electrically with an external power source.) Direct-drive starters were heavy for aircraft, so an inertial flywheel is used to engage a starter gear. This method was used (or used as a backup) on several engines, both German and Allied.

The aircraft does sound like it has the DB engine with supercharger. It's distinctive whistling sound is so sweet. A magnificent piece of history. I hope they preserve it.
