  • That's how a video of a awesome vehicle should be...just the sound of the vehicle and no crap music. That guy is all smiles...I wish I was in that seat.

  • anyone else pause at 1:29 to see where they put skidplates?

  • @lam6gun Do a search on mtgD6WOVM8Q

  • @SuperAss345 Honestly?...Terrified. After mudding it, I spent almost a whole day cleaning it and buffing out the scuffs from branches and cleaning the inside. The branch scuffs took most of the work. Next offroad excursion hoping to be to Schuss Mountan Snow Challenge and to Silver Lake Dunes when they open in the Spring.

  • 4:11 minutes and no gas xD

  • @rangerover06sc And you are correct, it's like 7-8 inches wider than other F150's and I've heard (but not measured) 1 in narrower than an H1 Hummer. Makes tight parking lots interesting....but I hate parking close in a new truck anyway....tooooo mannny minivans and people who don't give a $h!t around.

  • @rangerover06sc To your point, I am amazed at how the truck rides on the highway, on switchback roads at speed. I was worried before our test drive that the truck would ride like the axles were bolted to the frame, but to the contrary, we moved from a Lexus LX 470 and this truck not only rides as smooth on the highway as the Lexus, but it also feels totally planted in the corners because of the width. I wont say it rides on rails, but it's like no other truck I've driven.

  • @lam6gun lol, fair enough. The Raptor is defenatly designed in a way that compromises manauverability for stability at higher speeds. Isn't it like 7 inches wider then normal F150s?

Anyways lucky you, I wish I had a Raptor. It would defantly make the trip up to the resort on logging roads alot more interesting. It would probably be more comfortable too.

  • @rangerover06sc True True. I haven't found any reduction in maneuverability issues with the axles locked, but more with the width and wheelbase. The width in that most of the other 4x4 ruts are narrower than the Raptor by maybe 8-10 inches (which is not a huge issue...i just widen the old ruts. But the wheelbase, being as long as it is with the SCrew, getting through the trees and other obstructions takes some work (not a complaint, just a fact I am more than happy to deal with).

  • @lam6gun well thats kinda a given. In 4wd your front and rear axles are locked, significantly reducing manaverablity to acheive better stability and traction. All true 4wd systems are like this
