HAHA! that is actually pretty cool.
I watched it happen in science labs as well!

What a mess!

@lionsforlyons yes, currently in some monopropellant rocket motors like, rocket bel and satellites
-
@Grundalizer or just have a sophisticated vacuum distillation setup.

Why didn't you light it?

@heycolslaw hi dude.. well this decompositins just release H2O and O2, to light its necessary a fuel.

Was the silver in brass screen gone afterwards? Was the peroxide decomposing the screen or was it the screen was decomposing the peroxide??

@TypesEvilAspieEyes Im sorry, i didint answered you before.
The silver in the brass screen wanst gone afterwards, but unfortunatelly it was oxided, and its performance was decreased. The H2O2 was decomposed but the low superficial area of the brass screen wasnt good for a high decomposition rates, and due the high tamperature the silver deposited in brass screen was released.
in future tests i used manganese oxide supported in alumina and it had a good hydogen peroxide decomposition rate.

May be also formation silver oxide, I see the clear solution become muddy

@b43e65f77 yes man you are right.. it was jut a test, and in foward tests manganese oxid supported in alumina had better performance and no oxide formation
