Dirty Barry (Memorial Video)

Dirty Barry was a Kitten Rescue sponsorship cat who passed away on May 17, 2010. He was 8 years old.

His unfortunate name was nothing compared to his unfortunate past. He was one of 16 cats rescued from a shelter neglecting its animals. He was kept in a cat carrier for 24 hours a day, having to sleep, eat, and use the bathroom inside. He had to be given a good scrub-down when he arrived at the sanctuary as he was covered with feces. Unfortunately, no matter how many baths he received he never quite looked clean, hence the name. It was also found that Dirty Barry tested positive for FIV, which is the cat equivalent to HIV. However, despite the bad luck he was a very sweet kitty that loved attention, and will be greatly missed at the sanctuary.
