Lions are being killed off in east Africa at a rate not seen in decades. The culprits are mostly cattle farmers among tribes like the Masai, fed up with their cattle being killed by lions. But an alternative solution to a mass kill off has been found. A group called the Lion Guardians, Masai warriors, who track lions to keep them away from livestock, and help herders keep their animals away from the predators. So far the program has been a big success. From the shadows of Mt. Kilimanjaro, CBC's David McGuffin brings us this report.
