FFXII IZJS Weak Mode: Yiazmat (My new strategy)

A better version of my old one. With this you don't get hit at all, so you just waste Baccus Wine and nothing more. I've got inspiration from ZERO strategy for killing him in a NLBLLG. It's just a little different and works like this:

- Enter the fight, Dispel him, step just outside of the stairs into the sand area.
- He will target you, wait until he gets the closest possible from the stairs. It might take a few deaths to draw him near enough and in the right angle.
- Hide behind the wall and wait for him to cast a buff spell, show your face and wait until he do 2 steps, on the second he will target you with Deathstrike.
- Hide behind the wall and let the others do the dirty work.
- He targets you for 30 seconds so you can hit him in this time, when it comes close to switch targets, get the others away, wait for another buff and repeat.

From my experience, on the first half of his HP, he casts 12 buffs and then casts Tornado. So you MUST pay attention to the Battle Log, because Tornado will kill everyone when you put then in battle. When he cast it, just wait 30 seconds (so he casts another buff) and then continue.

After the first half, he will Cast Tornado every 10 buffs, and when Critical, after 8. Also, don't forget to keep him in your target all the time, otherwise he will heal ALL his HP in one second!

After a long time he will run out of MP, then when you switch the others back, you don't need to wait for him to buff himself, just show your face to him and get behind the wall fast.

You can use a Niho right from the begining of the battle with Hi-Ethers to drain all his MP too.

Followed all your steps, but still get hit by Death Strike. Also, did you turn Gambits off for Ashe? Because when you're on Attack, she doesn't seem to be rushing towards Yiazmat.

@aznbankai You must be at the wrong distance, it's kinda hard to be at the exact spot where you can target him and he cannot target you, but once you find the spot it's easy.

And yes, Gambits MUST be off for her (or whoever be the leader) otherwise she will suicide by going straight for him. XD

how can you break the damage cap without balance?

can you do it in regular ff12?

No, only on the International version of the game. In the original you're stuck with 9999 and 6999.

@mauriciochioro I finally beat Yiazmat with your strategy. Spent 4-5 rounds. Though he casts another buff after I Dispel him. I just run back out and then do it again quickly.
