she talked about it on letterman in 2006 and she seemed rather disgusted by what happened there and the fact that she couldn't understand what was going on... she said that this octupus stank and that nothing similar ever happened to her so weird it was...

I don't think it's weird. American tv shows go way further. I found it funny ! Kate is down to earth, maybe you are not.

I loved that too ! Marion Cotillard giving the Oscar to this wonderful actress. That was the best speech for nominees. She deserved the Oscar for best actress. :)
