OK I am, but not to bad ;) Do not pay the mestres!
All I met where strugling to keep it runnig.
BUT -- There are strange badass people and so there are those capoeiristas. -> I won`t give up capoeira for them!!!
( besides.. from time to time a little fun herbs or chem can be quite nice if you know what you are doing phys.&psy.)

You can see capoeira like that, but
1. Any sport can be comercialized, (if you take Capoeira as a sport). Would you stop playing football if you like it, because of comerce?
I don´t know a mestre thats rich.
2. Get some endorphins by movin your body is a quite cheap drug, isn´t it? (but no argument i must admit)

cleats that anchor your ankle to the ground and blow your knees... constant concussive forces to the head,neck, and back. Anything that threatens your core is the damn devil. Dives to the ground in clunky pads while people are trying to kill you. I don't believe that football is the best analogy.

yes. a drug that carries you into health and homeostasis. Take it from a doctor dude. The group I attend charges no money. They make you do community service instead. So you may be right, but only partially so.
