21.5-inch iMac 2012 hands on, first impressions, and early early.

When Apple unveiled its new iMac earlier this year, I was blown away by how incredibly thin the computer looked. It was still the same beautiful machine we're familiar with, now skinny as a pencil and better spec'd than ever. Seeing it in person, I had to do a double take to make sure it was an actual real computer, and not a trick. It's real, and it's drop dead gorgeous. We picked up the base 21.5-inch base model, which includes: 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, 8GB (two 4GB) memory, 1TB hard drive and NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M with 512MB. The base machine isn't designed to be a powerhouse for anyone who relies on intensive video editing or anything of that nature, but it's a solid computer for general computing, such as browsing the Web, streaming content, etc. http://tchno.be/Sjuhcl

I think you missed the point...he's stating that foreign locations pay way more then those of us in the USA pay. In some cases it's ridiculous what they cost overseas...

512MB is enough for a lot of games. This guy is completely wrong in saying what he said. I can play Civ 5, Bioshock Infinite, Battlefield 3 and Skyrim on very high settings. Most games out now have recommended system requirements at 512MB for a video card.

No CD, DVD, or Blu-Ray drive? No easy way to upgrade RAM? A slow 5400 RPM HDD? No HDMI? Apple is fucking up.
