Lately I been seeing an increase in the popularity of the Ocarina though the iPhone app by Smule. About 7yrs ago I got a Chinese Ocarina...or at least I think that is what it is. I mean I know as a fact it's from china, but I don't know if you'd call it an "Ocarina". This is a brief video asking what you guys believe it might be, what some of the packaging might say, where I can find more info on it in English, and possibly how to play Zelda on it. According to wiki this might be an "English Penant" which uses a 6 holed English fingering system. Plz post comments, sheet music links, and subscribe.

  • You can play the Zelda songs on this ocarina. By now you must have figured out that, when you see the notes, that black holes, mean you cover the hole with your finger, non black holes, leave your finger off, or it would be "open". Hope you have mastered it by now.

  • It is an ocarina, probably a 6 hole pendant ocarina. You can find songbooks on the net...and yeah I have a four hole so I may be able to teach you some songs. How? Well, all you do it use the front four holes and the thumb hole.

If you want to see me playing, then go to my channel. I can make tutorial videos for you if you want me to, just message me.

  • The first song in your book is "Happy Birthday Song" :) I'd say it's an ocarina. Sorry I don't know enough chinese to tell you exactly what that is.
