To quote the Joker from Dark Knight (in a way)... When squads of Germans, Japanese, Vietnamese, Taliban etc die by the handful, nobody raises an eyebrow because its all part of the plan. It is expected. But when one American, an AMERICAN! dies, people start losing their minds!! Great hero has been lost to the forces of "evil" and must be remembered.
