Rangefinder photography often means getting up close with a 28mm lens as you try and document the human condition and daily life of those people living halfway around the world. A photo shoot for a humanitarian group in Malawi allowed photographer Rob Skeoch a chance to try these techniques while shooting film with the Zeiss Ikon and digital with the Leica M9 rangefinders. Although not for everyone, rangefinders have continued to fill their niche in photography's spectrum, and have regained their place in the camera bag of some working photographers.
You can follow Rob' s assignment work at www.thepicturedesk.blogspot.com.
The current promotion at the rangefinderstore.com is a $50 discount on any new Zeiss lens purchase if you use the promotion code "Zeiss_Malawi" in your email.
