I love how this movie doesn't have to use gore to scare you. It uses true horror.

Simon is insanity personified. He is representing the insanity that lives in people who are considered insane. Sometimes when people go insane they simply have no control and insanity takes over. Just as Simon says "Hello, Mary" he says "Hello Gordon". You also here in this clip Simon saying "Do it Mary" just as he says "Do it Gordon". Both Mary and Gordon went insane and they both suffered from that voice in their head, Simon, who is really just insanity personified. Just my opinion, don't hate

personal opinion, simon represents mental health issues, his line i live in the weak and wounded makes sense, this is when people are more susceptable to developing mental health problems, when u are extremely stressed, like gordon, more evidence is when simon talks about mary killing her family in this video, he say" mary wanted to do it",, that implys that she was not forced in any way which u would expect if she was possessed by something, "simon" lives in us all but is only evident in some.

@MAClamaire My WMG was that he's the Devil. You know how a lot of psychotic people are driven by "The Devil told me to do it?" I was thinking that may be what "Simon" actually is.

@mercury199runner Lol, and next you'll tell us "The Exorcist" isn't scary for the same reason??? The story clearly revolves around an entity that possesses "weak and wounded" people, call that entity whatever you want, just not insanity... because it's not that.

A true horror film. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about how twisted this movie gets. This is for patient and sophisticated viewers that don't need a loud noise or a blood splatter every ten seconds to give them a thrill. This builds on suspense and grips you as the details unfold. If you can't hold a train of thought for over an hour you're not going to like or even understand this movie, even though it's not hard to get, it's horror, and the gripping part is that it's close to real.
