Please visit : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhMJAP3AKZ4 for this same video but with improved audio. A short documentary film in tribute to respected jazz saxophonist Bill Stewart (1924-2007). There are few remaining among his generation of bebop originators and their music is one of the most important artistic components of American culture.
We made this film because of our belief that musicians such as Bill should be honored for their creative work and dedication.
Written, edited and produced by Bay Area musicians Lee Bloom and Mike Waters.
Lavay! Wow, thank you for sharing my dad to others. "Pop's" would have "cracked-up" and talked about how great others of
his era were. However, we all knew how great POP's was with his laid back style. Thank you for letting others know about the humble man as well. By the way, I heard Pop play Cherokee with Hal Steins group before he cut his album and he could play fast as "the wind" when he wanted! My mom and family thanks Lee,Mike and of course you and Chris so much! God Bless u! Thomas
