  • You didn't listen to the lyrics. He's singing about a large vehicle... a large, heavy, metal vehicle.

  • Lovely song. Too bad more people didn't like his Mercury years as much as us true fans did.

  • Just for anyone that don't know....A CAT D 10 is a 700 hp bulldozer. Drove a D 6 once....A D 10 is a huge earth moving machine!

  • I'm an operator of heavy earth moving equipment, a Johnny Cash fan (...and a metal head, lol)... I've gotta admit, after the 29 years that I've grown up listening to 'the man in black' (whether I liked it or not - thanks dad :-D ) this man just just keeps giving me more and more joy :-) ... Long Live J.C.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mallamoozoo

He says " Jim's doin' it now." He means his secound guitarist Jim Soldi.

  • While Cashs musical influences lay deep within the roots of American country music, he was always open to new musical trends. In the mid-1980s he began to take an interest in heavy metal music, attending concerts by Metallica, Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne, and spoke out against various attempts to censor rock music lyrics.
