Playing some random riffs on the Strat guitar with the drum machine going. Im on the marshall 100MG DFX with some nice overdrive on full gain. So just me jamming away into nothing here pulling a bit from Metallica ,the Police and van Halen and stringing riffs together.

  • which tuning are you using?

  • @extremehockeyfan Standard E tuning mate.

  • your overdrive sux.

  • Thats cool Im using distortion here tho. :)

  • good for what it is, but evidence that this style of music is more about the effects and tuning than skill.

  • I disagree, in metal riffs it may not always be melody lines or difficult chords that are difficult but the odd rhythm patterns and timing that requires the skill.

  • love that marty friedman riff at the beginning man!!!

  • @Marieinneverland Yes, maybe, but saying a ''retard thing'' as overdrive sux without any arguments doesnt need any grammar correction. Furthermore i'm french =)
