How to fit or install a Velux the Installation guide ( Fitting Guide )

Hopefully this will be a handy guide to installing a Velux window. The instructions that come with the window are quite good, but theres a few hints and tips here that will make sense.
The installation window is a Velux GGL MO6 78cm x118cm with the flashing pack EDZ M06 78cm x 118cm.
