A hired killer from Cleveland has a job to do on a second-string mob boss in New York. But a special girl from his past, and a fat gun dealer with pet rats, each gets in his way. (black/white 1961)
What a remarkable film! First saw it several years ago at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco. Loved it then, love it now. Allen Baron is so talented--and this terrific movie shows he was talented from the get-go. And that get-go never stopped: This handsome man could paint with film, with his acting, and now he does it with a brush on canvas. Simply a limitless artist, and there's nothing simple about that. Truly inspiring.
Just caught this great movie at the Castro in S.F. Of course better on the big screen, but thanks so much for posting it.Gonna watch it again.
