Typically... These companys are just googeling "indie games", "2D retro games" and then they chose some stupid games. There are some thousand games which should be in that video but no game which was shown here is good imo. And 1:14 wth? Maybe funny but you r all shit noobs.

Minecraft got me into indie games in the first place, and it's an awesome game. I'm glad it won, and I think it deserved it.

It's written "Notch", and just because he has a team now doesn't mean he can't enter any more. He probably didn't even enter in the first place. It's also extremely unlikely that he would win in any category since he has more than enough money to fund his project(s), and in the end the goal of the IGF is often to make sure that some ambitious and extremely promising game eventually see the light of day.
