The sharpening machine plate is convex, to create the hollow grind on each blade, so the tynes can scissor correctly when in use at the right speed.

  • II am getting ready to put my Treyco 2000 on eBay. I am getting a divorce and this machine is to be sold. It comes with 2- 2-sided aluminum honing disks and every available accessory possible. It has brass holder to sharpen any blade made from barber to dog grooming to horses. I have sharpened about 100 blades with the machine and it is in perfect brand new condition. My ex-wife is a dog groomer and no-one close-by sharpened blades. The machine is easy to use and comes with everything.+ more.

  • How can I contact you about the Treyco 2000, what city do you live in. Please e-mail me at jeepngh@aol.com. Send some pictures if you can, and a price. Thanks, Geoff

  • @ghines2967Yes, I am wanting to sell it because there just isn't a lot of groomers and barbers around me. Not sure what its worth bought it 4-years ago maybe sharpened 150 blades. The machine works great, it has 2-aluminum wheels and I believe 1 disk is for hollow ground and the other disk has 1 side hollow ground and the other side is used for something different.. It has many different brass holders for different manufacturers and for odd sizes as well as a host of other accessories.

  • @orange70383 Do you still have the Treyco 2000, and if so is it for sale. jeepngh@aol.com Thanks, Geoff

  • I bought a Treyco 2000 with a bunch of different brass holders, different kinds of aluminum grinding wheels and other accessories but never used it much. My ex bought the stuff when she had a grooming business and I used to sharpen her dull blades on it. The machine does do a good job but it cost a lot too.
