An Iraqi spokesman said that while the country doesn't endorse a fixed date, they hoped U-S combat troops would be out of Iraq sometime in 2010.That falls within the 16-month timetable Obama has proposed. The problem I have with the surge is that the troops should have never been there in the first place. What did we accomplish and gain from invading Iraq?

Leaving a viché force US implanted Gov. & thousands of troops is tantamount to allowing the US to monitor oil deliveries on new contracts that are enforced over Iraq to have them pay their former debts & pay for the entire war in oil which provides a way to rob Iraq legally. Remotely controlling Iraq without being there much any longer having destroyed as many insurgents as possible. A troop return if things get out of control is a possibility! Voila! Oil take over in 9 years. Nice grab!
