Kids America

Kids America was a radio program for children broadcast on public radio stations from 1984 to 1988. Although it only lasted a few years, I have very fond memories of the show. It was hosted by Kathy O'Connell and Larry Orfaly.

Kathy, thanks for posting! There are a lot of people that loved the show...I wrote a blog post about it and there are several comments from other former listeners, and a few contributors.

That's me! At least, that was my show. Larry Orfaly & I hosted it on WNYC. I got the job when the original hosts walked off 15 minutes to airtime. Since shortly after the cancellation (Xmas Eve, 1987), I've hosted "Kids Corner" on WXPN in Philadelphia, and you can contact me there regarding Kids America if you want.

oh wow.. I loved this show growing up..I loved the Duke of Words lol, and even wrote to them, and got some cool stuff in the mail...
