This game deserves way more than an 8.2/10. It has a high quality campaign, fun multiplayer (no rank up system like COD, but still), and horde mode is a lot better than he makes it out to be. I think it is a lot of fun to play and each match is different whereas in COD zombies mode it plays out the same way every time. Add all this in with the fantastic audiovisual presentation (second to RE5), and you've got yourself one stellar package that'll keep you busy for quite a long time.

I'm a HUGE Gears of War fan mainly becuase i love the concept of the story. The first, IMO, was at the time, was good. It wasnt the best game in the world. Gow2 stepped up and the campaign was better but the MP was a disappointment. Gow3 will be the best of both games and hopefully GOTY

gears 1 i must admit had major flaws but the concept was good and it played really well but people forget it was 1 of the first titles for the 360 and like the 2nd game using Unreal engine 3, for a new system and new program it wasn't that bad and if find yourself board i recomend getting the books, they are actually really well done, better than the halo novels and it gives you a much better understanding for the main characters and story. it also gives you lots of backstory

Amazing campaign! And horde is fucking asome!

And the versus multiplayer is also very good. Especially because of guardian. If u haven't played guardian, then u havent played gears of war, it's the best mode of all time and fits with the gears of war formula perfectly
