Does anybody remember the old back to school special they showed on Nickelodeon in the 1980s? It featured puppets and a character who didn't want to go back to school. Does anybody know what I'm talking about and remember what it was called?
I'm curious why you people seem to think the "golden age" was only in the 90's. For me, the golden age of Nick was 1979-1990, pre-Nicktoons. I honestly hated Nicktoons when they came out because of the artstyle though now I can appreciate some of them. I'm sure today's generation of kids will consider the Nick of their childhood's to be the "golden age" too. Isn't it funny how nostalgia works?

Yeah, I know what your saying. I remember a few of the 80s shows as well like "You Can't do that on Television" but I earnestly think Nick peaked in the early 90s with Pete and Pete, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko, etc. Those were shows that didn't take kids intelligence for granted; they were clever, insightful and a little surreal, most of what i remember from the 80s was sliming and gag toilet humor (although that continues into the 90s as well).

Make the Grade, Out of Control and The Tomorrow People don't ring any bells, but everything else does; however, space cases was an extreme fav. THANKS DUDE

Make the Grade and Out of Control are VERY vague memories of mine (probably from the late 80s/very early 90s) but The Tomorrow People ran later, probably around the same time as Space Cases. It was a weird little show nobody remembers about kids who teleport and something resembling a giant manhole cover...that's all I remember at least.
