The moon shot with a Panasonic DMC-GH1 DSLR using a 300mm Canon lens with a 2x teleconverter. The GH1 Micro Four Thirds sensor makes it equivalent to a 1200mm lens. Shot in 1080p and cropped to 480p, the movement due to the Earth's rotation has been sped up (doubled).
I have the G10 but I think the GH1 also has an extended optical zoom. I think it will be better than using the full sensor and then crop the image.
But it looks good.
I just made a video of the moon with my G10.

Pretty cool. I could never hold my camera/telescope steady enough for a clear photo.
