True Artusts ! Chet watched Jerry's chording so as to follow along in sequence ! They can hear and feel where the song is going, and are prepared for the chord changes ! Jerry's shows had the top artists and real ones didn't have to have sheet music, they "followed the flow" of the chords and fell right into it ! THAT IS PURE TALENT !

Chet Atkins was both my hero and my mentor. That being said, I am always amazed - as I have seen it happen more than once - when Chet and Jerry share the stage - Chet just folds his right arm across the top of his guitar and stares at Jerry's hands at work. Chet is always smiling and at the end of all the songs I've noticed this with - he gives Jerry a little bow and applause. Many of the songs Chet recorded were of Jerry's writing.
RIP, fellas - we were blessed to have you both.

To some, this comment will sound like blasphemy, but I actually prefer Jerry's version to Ray Charles'. Always have. This is simply amazing. RIP, Snowman.
