The performer in this clip is Guinanding Dilawangen, and she's playing a 'binalig' composition. This was taken at my teacher's house when she specially invited her friends to come and perform for me :) Enjoy

  • Ey melodique... are you related to Ma'am Aga?... send her, napi & the rest of the group my regards!! JJ/Joseph..

  • I wish I were related - that'd be so cool ;) I'm a long-distance student of Ma'am Aga, i.e. I come from the UK and study with her whenever I get the chance to go home to the Philippines ^_^

  • Wow!!... I was her former student in AILM..I did get a chance to play & perform w/them too..played on the gandingan & danced the Sagayan..do you have your own set of instruments there in UK?

  • I have the ONLY complete set in the UK and perhaps in Europe thanks to Ma'am Aga! I just wish the Philippine Embassy, Filipino events organisers and Filipinos here in the UK would show support for this wonderful indigenous Traditional Music!

  • that's okay! Actually, I was replying to Kalinski's comment... but I understood what you said! I can understand a little bit of Tagalog, but Bisaya is my native language.

  • Hindi Bisaya ako po. At hindi marunong ako sa Tagalog =( Dapat ako mag-aral Tagalog, pero walang official course dito sa London =[ Ako'y Pilipino, pero ipinanganak sa London.
