Ingredients:

1 baked pie shell
4 egg yolks
1 package unflavored gelatin
4 tablespoons brandy
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon table salt
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 and 1/2 cups milk
2 Tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 bananas


For a larger pie use:
1 package gelatin
6 egg yolks
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon table salt
2 cups milk
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
3 teaspoons vanilla
3 Tablespoons butter
5 or 6 bananas

  • @ 2:50 he scraped the little bowl that originally had the egg yolks in it... This is very sound/ fool proof advice. Except for the store bought pie dough...IMO its well worth making dough from scratch... And any reason why you dont heat up milk first..temper your eggs w/ hot milk.. then stir everything until cooked/ completely thick? J/w.. cuz if the ingredients are all cold its going to take a while on the double boiler. Thanks for the recipe tho!
