Perhaps check either Judith Durham or Olivia Neutron Bomb (I mean Olivia NEWTON-JOHN). Although they are both getting on in years they both still have excellent voices. (but yes they were both contemporaries of KC - But more popular in the UK *&* Australia than the USA.)
