Hello :) on Christmas Eve 2010 I was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. This is a video telling you the story of when I had my first symptoms, having tests and getting diagnosed to the stage of treatment I am at now. I hope it allows people to see the positive side to having cancer and the importance of trying to live as normal a life as possible while having chemotherapy.
Everything happens for a reason, and something good always comes out of something bad, just got to keep searching for the light at the end of all this suffering

  • @blythe50 ah that's such good news, i hope she recovers quickly from the virus so you can enjoy the rest of the festive season, bring on the new year with health and happiness!

  • it is the christmas season now and my daughter is in the hospital with lymh nodes and nodules swollen very larger and they already found ebv so we are on pins and needles waiting for the tests to come back and let us know if she has hodgkins, she is really scared she is 31yo , im starting to worry so i listened to your story and i love the way you are happy and upbeat. thank you for it. and the best of luck to you.

  • @blythe50 I really hope that you get an answer before Christmas. Obviously you don't want to hear that it is lymphoma but believe me once you know what the problem is, a huge weight feels lifted whether it's good new or not because then you can crack on to start treating it without living in uncertainty. Hope your daughter isn't feeling too unwell at the moment and if you have any questions let me know. Please keep in touch, wishing you as good a christmas as possible in this difficult time x

  • I had Hodgkin's when I was seven years old. I am 49 now. My Hodgkin's was stage 3b. I had lots of radiation and lots of chemotherapy. You have a very positive attitude Laura. You have a great zest for life. I think you will be a very happy person. All the best from Canada, cheers.

  • @sparkman555 That's such great news to hear that you have been cancer free for so many years now, thank you for sharing your story, and thanks for your kind support :)
