An amazing guitarist .my favorite musician of all time.......

@yobhsiFehT : I couldn't agree more, I must have misse the comment about "no heroism" - if that's the way he feels, then I guess ignorance is bliss - when Canadians have to fight for their country, maybe they'll get "it".Ridiculous.Have to keep in mind he is the generation who was brainwashed to hate veterans etc...I guess when the freedom to become successful and allow yourself to piss it away on drugs and substance abuse, doesnt neccessarily lend itself to being thankful.,maybe he'll wiseup

Well, I doubt he intends any insult to veterans (despite the part of the statement where he claims there was no heroism in WW2 o.0), but ultimately, my point is, however anti-war one might be, one HAS to acknowledge that taking measures to stop a homicidal maniac (or three) from taking over the world was and will always be the right thing to do!
There are precious few wars I'd ever "stick up for," but WW2 is definitely the main one and the easiest one. Ignoring its necessity is stupid.

@yobhsiFehT : Im hoping he was just referring to the idiocy of war in general, Im sure he's not insulting veterans by any means.I sure would like to think so, at least..........

The futility of World War 2!? WTF?!? If there's ANY war you can point to that had a point to it, it was that one!
I'm trying to get past that one stupid statement so I can get back to focusing on music... but geez... o.0

Ottowa: like Washington D.C., but a very nice place. xD

I think most sane people would agree war is mankind at its worst but sometimes it is necessary to stand up and fight and you should be glad there were some heroes (maybe like your dad) that stepped up to the plate to stop Hitler in WWII or the world would be a very different place today ....a world where you probably couldn't have went on the self-indulgent rock'n roll fantasy trip you did in the 70's and 80's. Just another celbrity trying to sound intelligent....dissapointing when they speak.
