The Divine Mercy Chaplet which millions recite today was taught to Saint Faustina Kowalska as an invocation of trust in our Lord. This beautiful EWTN Home Video, shot on location at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy on Eden Hill in Stockbridge, MA, is the same Chaplet of Divine Mercy recited daily by Mother Angelica and EWTN viewers.

John Paul 11 called St. Faustina "the great apostle of Divine Mercy in our time." Through this Polish nun's humility and obedience Jesus' words to her encourage us to pray this powerful chaplet, with great faith and abandonment. For as Jesus told St. Faustina:
"Even the most hardened sinner, if he recites this Chaplet even once, will receive grace from My Infinite Mercy. I want the whole world to know My Infinite Mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to those who trust in My Mercy...."

  • what is the first prayer?

  • Hello, that's the opening prayer to the Divine Mercy Chaplet :) "You expired Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls and the ocean of Mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty yourself out upon us. O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us I trust in you."

  • Love Eternal Word Television Network!!!! Thanks Mother Angelica!!!!

  • I have only been able to pray the "eternal father we offer you the body and blood...." and "For the sake of his sorrowful......" prayers. I can't remember the opening one. Well I take that back I do the our father, hail mary, and apostles creed but the opening and closing i can't memorize for some reason. Would the chaplet still be seen as valid?
