Eugine definitely should have won that "competition". When i see the kind of people who get to the top 3 spots in that thing, it gets mind boggling why they are even allowed to compete (most of the time). The guys is an amazing guitarist with impeccable technique and compositions that are simply too deep for dumb asses who vote in that" guitar idol" to understand and appreciate. Privet iz Atalnti, Jenya...:)

Eugene, I love your song. I really do, but Don Alder didn't use a track on his performance and neither did Maneli. I know the others used theirs too, but of course none of them won. Gustavo Guerra and Jack Thammarat didn't use a track in their performances either. My point being is that, with the utmost respect, it wasn't a winning choice to use them and since 08 it never has been. I still think you are a great guitarist/songwriter.

I can't believe they let him use the backing track on stage. They should have let him keep just the bass and drums. This guy was one of my favorites to be a winner for the competition but to me to think you song isn't good enough to stand alone without an additional rhythm guitar/bass track to carry you I can see why he didn't win. Too bad.

@Childinfaith All the Guitar Idol finalists played with their backing track and live bass/drums....I don't know why the rhythm guitars and keys from backing track should be a kind of problem for you :)
