1 head of cauliflower
1/2 cup chicken broth or water
2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon fresh or dried oregano
salt and freshly ground pepper
6 garlic cloves, sliced thinly
dried parsley flakes
3 ounces of marble cheese
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
Directio ns:
- Break apart the cauliflower into large florets and cut off the thicker stems
- Set the cauliflower pieces stem side down in a medium baking dish
- Pour broth into the dish and drizzle olive oil all over the florets
- Sprinkle generously with oregano and salt and pepper, to taste
- Spread the garlic over dish
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake until tender, about 45 minutes
- It is ready when the florets fall apart if you poke them with your finger
- Once removed from the oven spread the cheese over the florets and place the dish, uncovered, back in oven until the topping is browned, about 5-10 minutes
- Serve hot or at room temperature
