A lot of little things cannot trump one (or for that matter alot of) big thing(s). A progressive laundry list + taking credit for the bin Laden raid in a war his base loathes will not save you. And you think Romney would? Just in the past few days he's said he has "no specific plans" to help veterans... and he said this literally a day before Obama signed an executive order restricting abusive recruitment practices by for-profit colleges and vocational agencies (it was covered in the White House weekly address yesterday).

And as far as "not trying to clean it up at all" : Bin laden is dead, GM is alive, and we're finally out of Iraq. Sounds like a cleanup to me.
