The famous goal. Not only sending England to the podium but also helping Hurst become the only man to score a hattrick in a World Cup final.

I must say that my first reaction was the same as what Bahramov described later in his book (and I'm half German)

better team was england...so even if this was not a reguar goal, they deserved to win this final. over the 90min england was much better. more ball possession, more chances and generally a faster one-tow touch football...

eKarma works in mysterious way, this was never in! They cheated Argentina in that world cup and they cheated Germany in the final! England has never been significant in the world cup stage, this the one and only way they can win world cup and that's why they got burned by the Argentines in 86, and countless times by the Germans! KARMA!

Hurst gave an interview a couple years back and admitted it never crossed the line. I'll believe him seeing that he was actually there that day!

The German equalizer was scored in the last seconds of regular time after a questionable free-kick, and Seeler allegedly impeded Wilson which stopped the England defender from moving over in time to chase the rebound and block the shot that scored.

It appears that Seeler's arms are on Wilson in the films. Is this interference?

Germany's last-minute equaliser was from a dodgy free-kick and was handled in the area by Schnellinger before it landed at Weber's feet. Should have been 2-1 England in normal time.

Bakhramov is most famous for being a linesman who helped to award a goal for England in the 1966 World Cup Final between England and West Germany. He was later rumoured to have been presented with a golden whistle by Queen Elizabeth II for his "services to England"
