The Original Stop-Motion Animation Model that opened the Disney Channel in 1983!

In the middle of the video you'll see a puppeteer controlling the original Mickey Mouse satellite and the tiny figures inside it.

  • This is hilarious, especially with the jaunty music... I'm only slightly younger than the DC so I don't remember a ton of early stuff. But I do remember it being pretty boss when it was a pay channel and I got to watch Dumbo's Circus, Pooh Corner, The Raccoons, Gummi Bears, Adventures in Wonderland, Disney shorts, and other exclusive Disney shows and movies.

  • @riceboy1701e They show them full length if there's time after movies. All is not lost.

  • Miss the old disney channel. The current incarnation is nothing but crap, teen pop star wannabes and future tabloid sex stars.. I wish Disney would bring back the old school stuff and perhaps make a second channel called Disney Classic and leave all those pukey teen shows off it.

  • @1470rocker Indeed. the 80s were great.

  • @riceboy1701e Agreed...Although iCarly is Nickelodeon.

  • @DamitaJo79 I agree! It's because the new Disney Channel insists on flooding the DC with iCarly, Good Luck Charlie, and all of these other new shows which, if aired ad infinitum, ad nauseum, we will all eventually allow them to be absorbed into our collective consciousness.

    NOT! BRING BACK CLASSIC DISNEY!

And now DC shortens classic Disney cartoons...they are never shown in their original length anymore.

    Same for Nick.

    Sad.

  • @apossumsbestfriend : LOL I agree.

  • @DamitaJo79 I agree one hundred percent

  • 1983??? I didn't know Disney Channel was that old! Well I learned something new today!
