Virak Dara is not the only Khmer actress beautiful star, there's other actress beautiful and talent as well. Because of Preah Neng Tekor production, that's why she was so famouse when her first film released 'Saupasseth'. She is beautiful and she is the wife of the movie director 'Ly Bun Yim'.

Virak Dara along with Dy Saveth is the only two mainstream actors to have survived because they fled to France before the Fall of Phnom Penh. Though at the height of the era from 1967 until 1975 it was popular consensus that she came in a distant fourth lagging behind Vichara Dany, Som Vansodany and Dy Saveth. The fact that she was an exclusive actress for Runteas Pich (as she was the wife of the director) therefore contributed to her limited exposure. Yet her three surviving movies are superb.

You guys are all WRONG! She is not mix chinese or khmer! This will actually disappoint many khmer because we hold a strong grudge on Vietnam but Vireak Dara is actually half khmer and half vietnamese! My dad knows her and she lives in France!
