  • Hi, I wonder if the Cathay Pacific 777's are fitted with GE90 engines or do they use Rolls-Royce engines? I know the usual engines used by the 777 are GE90's, I wonder if Rolls-Royce engines are an option for the aircraft.

  • All 777-300ER are fitted with the GE90.

  • What was the date of that day? And did you take it in the hill side?

  • 10 Feb 08.

  • Well when you think about it, Hong Kong is one of the biggest financial centres in Asia. "Asia's world city" seems appropriate.

  • yes

  • I love this livery. Does it still exist this day( April 9th 2009)?

  • hey, just wondering which part of Chep Lap Kok is this place situated, becuase it looks like quite a good place to take photos.

  • "Asia's World City" is the livery aka special paint job on this 777. Like Qantas has a 747-400 with a livery based on Aboriginal art(VH-OEJ, 'Wunala Dreaming') Special paint jobs sometimes are done for promotional reasons, also to celebrate milestones in an airline's history.

  • To Cathay Pacific, it does.

  • That's really Dumm!!!!! Makes no sense at all.......

  • The green Cathay 777-300ER is named as "Asia's World City"

  • Hey, your title Cathay Asia's World city take off, doesnt make sense, what does that mean. i dont get it?????

  • Thanks. The 777 is one airplane I plan to fly on someday..same for the 747-400.
