Sky Station Galaxy - Mission 1
Peewee Piranha's Temper Tantrum
Yeah, it's been a week since the game came out and I'm sure you've all found somewhere else to get your Mario Galaxy fix if you haven't gotten the game yet. This is because I wanted to keep playing until I got decently far into the game so that I'll be able to take requests. I'll be approaching this in the same way as I had before: Tell me what you want to see and I'll put it up, but there's a limit of 1 request per person until that person's requestis put up, in which case they may make another request.
This game is basically a continuation of Super Mario Galaxy. All the controls are the same as before, and all the dizzy gravity stuff is back with a vengeance. The main differences here are the addition of Yoshi, the greatly increased difficulty, the split into numerous smaller galaxies instead of several larger ones (there are 50 galaxies in this game), and, as you can see from Luigi standing there at the beginning, how the game handles playing as Luigi. The Mario Bros. share one quest this time, and Luigi will sometimes show up at the beginning of a stage to ask you if he can take over, at least until you get to the end of the game. I've never seen Luigi this eager before, considering the first time he showed up to ask to do a mission, it was about a test of bravery...
Kind of funny how the Luma at the beginning has to explain his story twice.
This mission shows up right by the beginning of the game. Mario launches up into space before he even finds the hub, Spaceship Mario, and makes his way across the Sky Station Galaxy to pick up a Star. As this is still the first mission, there's nothing too remarkable about it. Peewee Piranha is supposed to resemble Dino Piranha from the Good Egg Galaxy in the first game, but this guy is even more basic. (This is also the last straightforward boss you'll see.)
Well, I should probably explain that each galaxy has a teleporter where you can defeat a bunch of enemies before time runs out to get 3 1-Up Mushrooms. Each galaxy's first mission also contains a Comet Coin, that big silvery thing I picked up at about 5:03. (They're normally golden but I already found them all. Watch someone else's videos if you want to see what they look like.) Once you get enough Comet Coins, Prankster Comets will start showing up at various galaxies to give you a challenging mission, though the comets won't visit every galaxy. I gues they count as new and interesting features. I will attempt to collect the Comet Coin each time I put up a Mission 1, but I won't always go for the teleporter.
Dude there are 49 galaxies not 50
